Horse Riding Lessons
Lessons on our horses:
Families choose to take lessons for a variety of reasons whether it be as a family activity for pleasure, keep their growing children interested in a wholesome activity, to join Pony Club or learn about horses in general.
Individuals come to us who are at a stage in their lives they want to do something for themselves, learn new skills, want to buy a horse, or to begin or recommence competing in dressage, eventing or showjumping.
Horse Riding is also a known therapy to aid in the wellbeing of anyone who may be suffering depression, shyness, lack of confidence, lack of coordination or general loneliness.
Wether you are an experienced rider who may have been out of the saddle for a while, may have lost confidence, or not had the opportunity to ride for some years, we offer you those challenges your seeking in improving existing skills, building upon your weaker areas and shining up your strengths.
We cater for all ages and skills, especially nervous riders who may have previously had less than enjoyable experiences but are still wanting to experience riding for pleasure. Feel free to start off in a yard and gradually go out into bigger areas as your confidence increases
Even if you’ve never ridden, think you are too old or young, think again, we will tailor your lesson to suit what it is you want to achieve.
We offer you a friendly, safe environment to help make you feel good about yourself learning or improving a difficult skill, whilst also enjoying the company of our instructors, horses and other riders.
We offer both group and private lessons.
Our timetable for lessons are Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm and Saturdays 10 – 4pm.

Horsemanship
At Ruby Hill Equine Centre, we believe true horsemanship goes beyond simply riding, it’s about understanding, communicating, and building a genuine partnership with your horse. Our horsemanship lessons focus on developing key skills such as groundwork, handling, and body language to establish trust and mutual respect. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced rider, our approach teaches you to connect with your horse on a deeper level, creating a foundation for safe and enjoyable riding experiences. Through patience and practice, we aim to inspire confidence and harmony between horse and rider, both in and out of the saddle.
